He has a 20-year track record of being on the leading edge of the mobile industry, including implementing the first ever mobile internet portal.

  Ewan is 32 and lives in Chiswick, London with his wife, Hetty. His adopted city is San Francisco and he can oft be seen flying Virgin America across the States, but always British Airways across the pond.

  Ewan founded Mobile Industry Review (or “SMS Text News” as he originally christened the site) back in October 2005 — but actually began publishing daily, two months later, on the 26th of January 2006.

  Breaking out of the "Walled Garden": HTML5 and open technology for mobile development

  Born into the tech world when he was hastily delivered on a table in the Neasden Science Museum, Bruce evangelises Open Web Standards for Opera. He co-authored Introducing HTML5, the first book on the subject, and was a member of the W3C Mobile Web Best Practices Working Group.

  Previously, he’s been front-end technical lead for the Law Society and Solicitors Regulation Authority web sites, tutor to a princess’ daughter in Thailand, a movie extra in Bombay, and a tarot card reader in Istanbul. He blogs at brucelawson.co.uk, drinks Guinness and is training for a blue belt in kickboxing.

  App distribution and monetisation - the only things more important than lines of code

  Raam is currently co-founder and CEO of Touchnote, an m-commerce start-up selling photo postcards cards. Touchnote recently announced a distribution deal with Sony Ericsson that will see the app embedded on multiple handsets and integrated into the camera and gallery.

  Raam's previous varied experience is in strategy and management consulting – in London, Washington DC and Central America. Next stop, pizza chef.
